Privacy Policy

This policy covers softwarebygl.com — the website you are reading right now. It is short because the site is a brochure: there is no account to create, no form to fill in, and nothing to buy here. It does not cover our apps. My Business and My Money each hold real information and each has its own policy that says so in detail — see the My Business Privacy Policy and the My Money Privacy Policy.

Who we are

This site is operated by Gold Life LLC (“Gold Life,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Florida limited liability company based in Tallahassee, Florida. Gold Life LLC is responsible for the information described on this page.

What the site collects from you: nothing you type

There is no contact form, no sign-up, no account, no comment box, and no checkout anywhere on this site. There is nothing here for you to fill in, and so nothing for us to receive. The site does not ask for your name, your email address, your phone number, or a payment method, because it has nowhere to put them.

The one way to reach us from these pages is the email link in the footer. If you write to support@softwarebygl.com, we then have whatever that email contains — your address, your name if you sign it, and whatever you chose to tell us. We use it to answer you and for nothing else, and we do not add you to a mailing list for writing to us.

Measurement

Two scripts run on every page: Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views and where visits arrived from, and Vercel Speed Insights, which records how quickly pages load. Both come from Vercel, our host, and report to us in aggregate. We use them to see which pages are worth keeping and whether the site is fast — not to follow a person from page to page.

Those two are the only measurement scripts on the site. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising or social pixel, no session recorder, no cross-site tracker, and no third-party embed of any kind.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies — not for analytics, not for advertising, not for anything else. Neither the site’s own code nor either Vercel script writes one, so there is no cookie banner here to click through.

The site stores exactly one thing in your browser, and only if you ask for it: when you use the light/dark toggle, your choice is saved under the key theme in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your browser and it is never sent to us. Cycle the toggle back to Auto and the entry is deleted; clearing your browser data removes it too.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel has to handle the request itself in order to send you the page, which means your IP address and browser user-agent pass through its network and appear in ordinary server logs. That is how the web works rather than something we gather for our own purposes; we do not build a profile from it.

Fonts, images, and other assets

Everything the page loads — typefaces, screenshots, logos, images — is served from our own domain. The two typefaces are Google Fonts, but they are downloaded when the site is built and bundled with it, so your browser never makes a request to Google to render this page.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Vercel processes data on our behalf as our host and analytics provider. Beyond that, we would disclose information only if the law required it — a subpoena, court order, or similar legal process — or where we believed disclosure was necessary to protect our rights or someone’s safety. If Gold Life LLC were ever part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information could transfer as part of that transaction.

Links that leave this site

Pages here link out to the Apple App Store and to our sister site evolvedbygl.com, and the app policies link to the privacy policies of the services those apps rely on. Once you follow a link away from softwarebygl.com you are on someone else’s site, under their policy and not ours. We are not responsible for how they handle your information, so read their terms before giving them anything.

Data retention

Because the site collects nothing you type, there is nothing here for us to retain. If you email us, we keep that correspondence for as long as it is useful to support you or as long as the law requires, and then delete it.

Where your information is handled

Gold Life LLC is based in the United States, and our host operates there. If you visit this site from outside the U.S., the request is handled in the U.S. or wherever our host’s network delivers it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to receive a copy of it in a portable form, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent where we relied on it. Email support@softwarebygl.com and we will do it; we will not make you prove a legal basis first.

If you live in California, you have rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the rights listed above under the GDPR and may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Residents of other states with privacy laws have comparable rights. In practice, since this site holds so little, the honest answer to most requests will be that there is nothing to produce — but ask, and we will tell you exactly what we have.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect any change. If a change means we start collecting something new, we will say so plainly rather than quietly editing this page.
